SCALP therapy FAQs

Do I leave with wet hair?

The descriptions state that I will be in a heated massage bed. What can I expect?

What does aftercare look like for this treatment?

yes, for the integrity of your hair post-treatment you can expect to leave with wet hair.

As a part of this immersive experience, you do have access to both heat and massage in our treatment bed. The massage is considered deep tissue, so if you are on blood thinners, prefer light touch massage or have experienced a massage on your back 72 hours prior to this treatment we do recommend that you only enjoy the heated feature during your experience with us.

We encourage you drink plenty of water post-treatment as you will be experiencing massage on your scalp and body throughout your immersion experience.
You are welcome to let your hair air-dry, or you can use a heat styling tool at home with a thermal protectant.

How frequently should I book this treatment?

If you are currently pregnant, this treatment is not for you as the bed lies flat and cannot be adjusted. This can cause hyperextension of your back, could result in low maternal blood pressure and decreased circulation to both you and baby. This
may cause you to feel dizzy, be short of breath or other experience other discomforts. We would love to see you during postpartum as this is an amazing service to help maintain or care for any postpartum hair loss.

If you have hair extensions, this treatment is not for you as we could pull on the hair attached to your extensions and cause damage to the extensions.

i
We recommend coming in for treatment every 4-6 weeks to get the deep exfoliation and targeted treatment benefits from our scalp therapy treatment.
